1

Place Ghost + Poltergeist

Use Ghost PIR in direct sightlines and Poltergeist radar where you need hidden sensing through thin surfaces.

2

Wire In the Executioner

If your prop has a try-me or step-pad input, plug it into an Executioner and trigger it wirelessly.

3

Configure in the App

Use FrightLink inside the FrightMaps app to set which sensors trigger which props. Add delays and build the exact scare sequence you want.

Four Devices, One Ecosystem

Pick a tab to see the full breakdown — specs, use cases, and how each device fits into your haunt.

HUB
The brain

Plug it in, pair it with the FrightMaps app, and it runs your whole haunt — sensors, sequences, props. Works without internet once it's set up.

The brain of your haunt.
At a glance
  • Up to 600 ft wireless range
  • Up to 16 sensors & relays per Hub
  • Builds chained scenes & delays
  • Pairs with FrightMaps app
  • Plugs into the wall
  • Works fully offline

Best for porches, whole yards, walkthrough haunts, and paid attractions.

How it works
1. Pair with the app
2. Sensor fires
3. Hub processes
4. Triggers prop
5. Scare fires
GHOST
Motion sensor

A motion sensor for places with a clear line of sight — porches, walkways, hallways. Hide it where guests will walk and it triggers a scare when they pass.

The classic motion trigger.
At a glance
  • Detects motion up to 25 ft away
  • Up to 600 ft wireless to your Hub
  • Rechargeable battery — weeks of standby
  • USB-C charging — any 5V charger works
  • Hides on walls, posts, behind props

Best for doorways, walkways, and quiet streets. For busy areas where cars set off the sensor, use Poltergeist instead.

How it works
1. Guest walks by
2. Pings the Hub
3. Hub fires scene
4. Scare fires
5. Goes back to sleep
POLTERGEIST
Premium motion sensor

A premium motion sensor that sees through thin fabric, plastic, and foam — and ignores false triggers from passing cars or wind. Adjustable range and sensitivity in the app.

Sees what others can't.
At a glance
  • Detects motion up to 25 ft (adjustable)
  • Sees through fabric, plastic, & foam
  • Ignores cars and wind
  • Up to 600 ft wireless to your Hub
  • Rechargeable battery — weeks of standby
  • USB-C charging

Best for busy streets, walkthrough haunts, and hiding inside props for invisible triggers.

How it works
1. Watches the zone
2. Filters out cars/wind
3. Detects a guest
4. Pings the Hub
5. Scare fires
EXECUTIONER
Wireless trigger

The little black box that lives inside your prop. Plug it into any try-me or step-pad input and that prop becomes a wireless trigger point. The Hub fires it instantly.

The muscle of your haunt.
At a glance
  • Plugs into any 3.5mm try-me jack
  • Instant fire on cue
  • Up to 600 ft wireless to your Hub
  • Rechargeable battery — weeks of standby
  • USB-C charging
  • Pocket-sized — hides inside your prop

Works with most animatronic props, jumping/pop-ups, jaw-movement props, and any prop with a try-me button.

How it works
1. Sensor or tap fires
2. Hub gets signal
3. Hub runs your rules
4. Executioner fires
5. Prop scares

Cloud Features

Optional cloud connectivity layered on top of fully-offline local triggering. Pick a tab to dig in.

Live status, anywhere

Remote View

See your haunt's live state from anywhere with WiFi.

Open the FrightMaps app from your phone — at work, at the bar, on the road — and watch your sensors fire in real time. See which sensor just triggered, which Executioner fired, whether a battery is running low, or if a device went offline.

  • Live sensor & Executioner state
  • Battery level & signal strength per device
  • Trigger history with timestamps
  • Push notification when something fires (optional)
Cloud-required
Fire scares from afar

Trigger From Anywhere

Manual scare on demand — even when you're not home.

Tap any prop in your scene from the app and it fires instantly, whether you're standing in the front yard or 500 miles away. Great for testing, surprising visitors, or running a scene from the porch while you greet trick-or-treaters.

  • One-tap scene fire from anywhere
  • Multi-prop sequences trigger remotely
  • Latency typically under a second over a good connection
  • Local Bluetooth fallback when away from WiFi
Cloud-required for off-network
Always current

OTA Firmware Updates

Hub pulls new firmware over WiFi, then pushes it to every device.

When we ship a fix or a new feature, your Hub downloads it automatically and distributes the update to your sensors and Executioners over the local mesh — no plugging anything into a computer, no firmware files to manage. Devices update one at a time so the haunt stays online.

  • Hub fetches firmware over WiFi from FrightMaps cloud
  • Distributes to sensors & Executioners over the local mesh
  • Rolling updates — devices reboot one at a time
  • Manual or auto-update mode in the app
Hardware always works without it
Never lose a scene

Sequence Backup & Sync

Your scenes live in your account, not just on a single Hub.

Build a perfect haunt scene one year, get a new Hub the next year — your sequences are right there. They sync to the cloud automatically and restore on any Hub paired to your account. Move to a new house, share with a friend, or run two yards from the same scene library.

  • Automatic backup of all scenes & trigger rules
  • Restore to any Hub on your account
  • Edit on phone, sync to Hub instantly
  • Share scenes with other haunters (opt-in)
Cloud-required
Bigger haunts

Multi-Hub Coordination

Run a haunt that's bigger than one Hub can cover.

For attractions and large yards, link two or more Hubs over WiFi and trigger sequences across all of them — front gate fires, back room fires three seconds later, lights drop in the hallway in between. Cloud-coordinated, but each Hub still runs locally if internet drops.

  • Cross-Hub sequences with shared timing
  • Each Hub stays autonomous if cloud drops
  • Up to 16 devices per Hub × N Hubs
  • Single FrightMaps app dashboard for the whole site
Coming with V1
Works without internet

Offline-First Architecture

The cloud is a bonus. The hardware is the foundation.

Every cloud feature is opt-in. Your Hub, sensors, and Executioners run the entire haunt over their own local wireless mesh with zero internet dependency — sensors trigger, sequences fire, scares happen. Lose WiFi mid-haunt? The system keeps running. Cancel your subscription? The hardware still works the same.

  • Local triggering & sequences run fully offline
  • WiFi only required for cloud features
  • Subscription pause = cloud pauses, hardware doesn't
  • No internet on Halloween night? No problem.
No subscription needed for core features

Frequently Asked

FrightLink uses its own dedicated wireless mesh between the Hub, sensors, and Executioners — built for low latency and reliability in noisy haunt environments. Bluetooth is only used briefly during initial Hub setup with the FrightMaps app.
Yes. If your prop has a try-me button or 3.5mm step-pad / trigger input, the Executioner plugs in and triggers it wirelessly. No replacing your gear, no proprietary protocol.
No — local triggering (sensors → Hub → Executioner) works fully offline. Cloud features (remote view, sequence backup, OTA updates) require a WiFi connection on the Hub.
Up to 600 ft line of sight between the Hub and any device, with mesh hops extending coverage further. Walls and metal will reduce range — for whole-yard haunts we recommend placing the Hub centrally.
Your hardware always works locally. Sensors, triggers, and sequences continue running. Cloud features (remote view, off-network triggering, cloud backup) pause until you resume.
Sensors and Executioners run on a 3000mAh LiPo. In typical Halloween-night use (deep sleep between triggers) you'll get a full evening on a single charge, with battery life depending on trigger frequency and sensor type. We recommend topping off the day of.
The cases are designed for sheltered outdoor use (porches, covered yards, overhangs). They're not rated for direct rain or submersion. For wet conditions we recommend placing devices under cover or in a sealed bag.
Pre-orders ship in September 2026, in time for Halloween. We'll send build progress updates throughout the year. Founder pricing is locked in for everyone who pre-orders before November 1, 2026.
